About the Youth Council

Leadership, civic learning, service, and youth-led projects that strengthen our community.

Purpose

The Youth Council provides teens a structured way to build leadership skills, learn civic processes, and work on projects that improve quality of life in Riviera Beach.

Public note: Reporting has described the Youth Council as a 15-member board for the 2025–26 term, focused on civic learning, community service, and youth-centered initiatives.

Meeting schedule

Meetings have been publicly noted as occurring at 6:00 PM on the second Thursday of each month (example schedule).

How to Apply

Eligibility

  • Must be a Riviera Beach resident
  • Grades 9–12 or Ages 14–18
  • Commit to meetings, events, and activities for one year
  • Provide adult references and required school verification forms (per application packet)
