Free Chlorine Flush Scheduled for November 2–23, 2026

The City of Riviera Beach Utility Special District will conduct a Free Chlorine Flush from November 2 through November 23, 2026. This precautionary maintenance temporarily changes the water disinfection process from chloramines to free chlorine to help maintain the drinking water distribution system.

Customers may notice temporary discoloration or a slight chlorine taste or odor. The water remains safe to drink during this process. If discoloration occurs, run the tap until the water clears.

Customers using home dialysis equipment or maintaining aquariums or fish and shellfish holding tanks should seek professional guidance about the temporary treatment change.

For questions, contact the Utility Special District at (561) 845-4185 during normal business hours.
