Riviera Beach Invites Community to Pep Rally Celebrating 2026 All-America City Finalist Honor
RIVIERA BEACH, FL. (June 23, 2026) – The City of Riviera Beach is hosting a community Pep Rally on Tuesday, June 23, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Riviera Beach Event Center, located at 190 E. 13th Street, Riviera Beach, FL 33404. The event celebrates the city's recognition as a 2026 All-America City Finalist by the National Civic League and invites residents to rally behind the local delegation representing Riviera Beach in the national competition.
The All-America City Award is one of the nation's most prestigious civic honors, celebrating communities that demonstrate exceptional civic engagement and collaborative problem-solving. Being named a finalist places Riviera Beach among the top 20 cities in the country recognized for bringing residents, leaders, and organizations together to tackle shared challenges.
The Pep Rally is a chance for the community to come together, show its civic pride, and wish good luck to the delegation that will represent the city on the national stage. Free parking and light refreshments will be provided, making it easy for residents and supporters to join the celebration.
Riviera Beach's finalist status reflects more than a decade of collective work by city leadership, residents, and community partners to strengthen civic health through investment in people, neighborhoods, and institutions. The city's application highlighted several initiatives that exemplify this commitment, including the Riviera Beach Youth Council, which engages high school students in civic leadership and advocacy; the Citizens Leadership Academy, a civic education program with a 98 percent completion rate; and the Neighborhood Reclaim Home Rehabilitation Program, which provides mini-grants to help long-time homeowners make essential repairs.
These programs reflect a community that treats civic engagement not as a procedural requirement, but as an ongoing partnership among government, community organizations, faith-based groups, educational institutions, and neighborhood leaders.
