Riviera Beach Youth Empowerment Program Launches Open Mic Nights for Local Teens
RIVIERA BEACH, FL (May 14, 2025) – The City of Riviera Beach’s Youth Empowerment Program is thrilled to announce its new Open Mic Nights, designed exclusively for students in grades 6–12. Taking place every 3rd Friday from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Riviera Beach Public Library, this exciting event offers teens the perfect opportunity to unwind, connect, and express themselves in a fun and supportive environment.
The Open Mic Nights provide a creative platform where local youth can showcase their talents—whether it’s singing, poetry, spoken word, comedy, or any form of self-expression. Beyond entertainment, the event fosters a sense of community and engagement for teens, offering them a safe, welcoming space to spend their Friday evenings.
“We believe that when young people are given a chance to express their creativity in a supportive environment, they can thrive and discover their potential,” said Dr. Latronda Hayes, Interim Director of the Youth Empowerment Program. “This initiative is all about empowering our next generation to be bold, expressive, and confident.”
Teens and guardians are encouraged to RSVP in advance using the contact details provided on the flyer. Don’t miss this chance to experience the energy and creativity of Riviera Beach’s youth!
