FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: THE CITY OF RIVIERA BEACH HOSTS NATIONAL BLACK HIV/AIDS AWARENESS DAY EVENT RIVIERA BEACH, FL (January 31, 2025) – Join the Office of Councilwoman Shirley Lanier and the City of Riviera Beach as we come together to honor National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 6 p.m. The event will take place at the Riviera Beach Marina Village Event Center, located at 190 E 13th St, Riviera Beach, FL 33404. Established in 1999, National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day serves as a vital opportunity to address the disproportionate impact of HIV on Black communities. This year, we aim to not only raise awareness but also foster empowerment and action. The evening will feature meaningful discussions on HIV prevention, treatment efforts, and strategies for improving education among Black youth and adults. Success stories will be shared, highlighting how individuals and communities have effectively taken charge of their health despite the challenges of living with HIV. Attendees will also have access to valuable resources, including educational materials and support services.
