Application for City of Riviera Beach Scholarships is available to qualified students freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are residents of the City of Riviera Beach.

Applicants offered a scholarship must submit verification of full-time enrollment at an accredited College, University, or Trade/Technical School no later than September 30, 2024.

Application Deadline: June 3, 2024 - 5:00 PM



Requirements:

1. Must be a resident of Riviera Beach. (Proof of residency required.)

2. Must be enrolled as a Full Time Student (minimum of 12 credit hours) by September 30, 2024.

3. Must possess a 2.0 or above cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA).

4. Must complete ALL sections of the application. (Incomplete applications will not be considered.)

5. Must provide proof of Community Service completed within the last 12 months.

6. Must agree to provide a minimum of twenty (20) hours of Community service to the City of Riviera Beach within twelve (12) months of receipt of a scholarship award (New requirement)

Required Attachments: (Please check-off each required attachment as it is added)

1. Must provide a current Official Electronic or Sealed Transcript (High School, College, Technical or Trade School).

2. Must provide a current Resume' that includes High School/College achievements, organizations, community service activities, and other activities applicant is involved in.

3. Must provide a current typed one (1) page single spaced essay stating why applicant should be awarded a scholarship and applicant’s plans for further studies at a College, University, or Technical/Trade School. (The Essay must include Applicant’s name.

4. Must provide three (3) signed letters of recommendation dated within the last six (6) months and signed by the writer.

If ALL requested information is not included, the application WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED!

A personal interview with the applicant may be required.
