5/30/2023 - Free Food Distribution | June 6, 2023
The Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP) is hosting a City of Riviera Beach Parks and Recreation, Riviera Beach Police Department and Farm Share Free Food Drive-Thru Distribution at the Wells Recreation Center, and safe social distancing practices will be in place throughout the duration of the event. Join our VRP team in making a difference by giving back to the community (flyer attached).



The event is scheduled for Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Wells Recreation Center, which is located at 2409 Avenue H West, Riviera Beach, Florida 33404. Residents participating in the drive-thru will remain in their vehicles at all times, and various PPEs will be made available for all volunteers. Volunteers are needed from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Volunteers can also choose to work from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Volunteers can assist in the contactless procedure of signing-in residents, preparing grocery items for bagging, placing bagged groceries into the trunk of each vehicle participating in the drive-thru, as well as, by cleaning up the food distribution area. It is advised that volunteers be dressed comfortably. If anyone is interested in volunteering, please send an email to USAFLS.VRP@USDOJ.GOV or call (305) 961-9134.
