RIVIERA BEACH POLICE INVESTIGATING FATAL CAR CRASH

RIVIERA BEACH, FL. (March 7, 2022) – Riviera Beach Police in the early morning on March 6 witnessed a white SUV strike another vehicle while it was conducting a U-turn at the intersection of Blue Heron Boulevard and Gardens Road. Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled, traveling westbound on Blue Heron with two occupants inside. The SUV subsequently crashed into a lake near the VA Medical Center. Both occupants were removed from the SUV by Police and Fire Rescue who rendered aide and transported both to the hospital. Unfortunately, both occupants succumbed to their injuries. The occupants were a 19-year-old female and a
21-year-old male. The vehicle that was hit on W. Blue Heron Boulevard left the scene. Police are attempting to locate the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
