Riviera Beach is located in Southern Florida, in the northeastern part of Palm Beach County. The City has a population of nearly 40,000 people. The Police Department is comprised of 120 sworn officers and 79 non-sworn employees who handle approximately 100,000 calls for service each year.
Riviera Beach has a diverse landscape of communities ranging from beautiful Singer Island oceanfront properties (best in Palm Beach County); an exciting inter-coastal water way; a mixture of industry; and a full complement of housing - great rentals, wide variety of single family homes, gated and golf course communities; and a theme park that attracts 2.5 million visitors annually.
All neighborhoods are a part of the Riviera Beach Police Department District-Based Community Oriented Policing program. We attribute strong police / community relations to the success of the program.
With a mission statement of "Service is Job One," the Riviera Beach Police Department takes great pride in serving the residents, visitors, businesses that operate in the City, and the tens of thousands of people who travel through Riviera Beach every day.
From time to time, the Department has positions open and seeks qualified applicants. If you are interested in employment with the Riviera Beach Police Department, contact Human Resources at (561) 840-4880 or visit the Human Resources website to request an application.
