The City Council Minutes reflect a synopsis of the subjects, the actions and the discussions that take place at the various Regular, Special and Workshop Meetings of the Riviera Beach City Council. In accordance with F.S. 166.041(4), Minutes should provide a reasonable summary of the activities, and shall not reflect word–for-word transcription of the proceedings.

These proceedings are recorded while Council Meetings are in process; transcribed and presented in preliminary docu, ment form for Council’s approval at the next Regular Council Meeting. Upon approval the   Minutes shall be executed by the Mayor and individual Councilpersons. Each set of Minutes shall be executed and officially sealed by the City Clerk as a permanent record for the City.

These legislative documents (Minutes) may be reviewed by the public upon request at the office of the City Clerk. Typed Minutes or audio may be purchased at cost. However, if a tape is provided Minutes may be duplicated at no cost to the Resident(s)

The City Clerk serves as the official custodian for all Municipal documents, including: audio recordings, Resolutions, Ordinances, Bond issuances, and local Municipal Election procedures.
